This home was built in 1889 for M.B. and Nellie Waldo. Mr. Waldo worked at the Peoples Bank, which later became the Hardy Bank, after the Peoples Bank collapsed during the Great Depression. The house is a Queen Anne-style home, popular at that time. The Waldos then sold it to D.W. and Eugina Reddin.
D.W. Reddin was a prominent physician in North Baltimore and was also credited with Tarr Street being brick-paved. According to local resident Jim Miller, the interior of the home was stunning. The home stayed in the Reddin family, being occupied by Dan and Rosina Reddin, both attorneys, until 1987. At this time, it was sold to another local attorney, George C. Thompson.
Mr. Thompson and his wife remained the owners until 2018. The current owners are the Reynolds family, who recently moved to North Baltimore with their young child. They are considering returning the home to its original color and hope to provide both old and new photos of the home to the Historical Society soon.
